I provide a broad range of holistic financial planning advice to private individuals. As Partner responsible for research, my passion is in the building and management of investment plans.
I work with clients to invest their funds, plan their retirements and insure their futures.
I particularly enjoy and specialise in working with other professionals and Trustees, managing the investment assets of new and existing Trusts.

Career History
My entire career has been in financial services. From a schoolboy aspiration to “work in a Bank” to CarterDawes, my work has been related to personal finances.
My early banking career with was with Lloyds, before a move to Barclays in 1989 saw the start of 12 years with the Bank. In 1999 I qualified as an Advisor, moving to Barclays Financial Management. I joined Mike Dawes’s Devon Team, and the rest is history as together, we formed CarterDawes in 2001, to be an honest, ethical and truly independent Advice company.
The last 10 years has been thrilling and exciting, as we have grown the practice to 14 Advisers, with more than 60 Million pounds now under management.
Community Work
I am pleased to have served as an elected Governor of Whimple Primary School.
I work with Rachel Gilpin at the Estuary League of Friends in Topsham.
I am honoured to serve on the Committee for the Devon Professional Golfers Alliance.
Hobbies, Interests and Family
My two young Daughters keep me exceptionally busy, but when there is some free time I am a passionate golfer, just managing to hold onto my single figure handicap as I get older!
My other interests are history and archaeology, and all forms of motorsport.
My wife Jude is a Musician and Music Teacher, and my Daughters Bethany and Livvy are following her with an enormous interest in music-making.
